Terms of Service

1. The agreement

These terms are a contract between you (and the organisation you act for) and Vortex Ventures Group(“Stareo”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using stareo.ai you agree to them, together with our Privacy Policy. If you are signing up for a company, you confirm you have the authority to bind it.

2. What Stareo does

Stareo crawls websites you add, checks them against search-engine and AI-visibility best practice, proposes fixes, applies the fixes you approve to systems you have connected, and measures how search engines and AI assistants respond. It also queries third-party AI engines with questions you choose and records their answers.

Stareo is a tool that helps you make changes to your own website. It is not an agency and it does not guarantee any ranking, traffic, citation, or revenue outcome. Search engines and AI assistants change constantly and are outside our control.

3. Your account

• You must be 18 or over and give accurate details.
• Keep your password private. You are responsible for everything done under your account.
• One person per login. Invite team members through the app rather than sharing credentials.
• Tell us straight away at support@stareo.ai if you think your account has been accessed without permission.

4. Your website and the systems you connect

• You may only add websites you own or are authorised to manage, and only connect Google, GitHub, WordPress or CMS accounts you are entitled to use.
• When you approve a fix, you are instructing Stareo to change your site. Review what you approve. Every change records its before and after state and can be rolled back from the app, but you remain responsible for your site.
• You can disconnect any integration at any time. Disconnecting stops future changes and data pulls; it does not undo changes already made.
• You are responsible for keeping your own backups of your website and content.

5. Content Stareo generates

Text, code and recommendations produced by Stareo are generated with the help of AI models and may be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable for your industry. You own the output we generate for your site and are responsible for reviewing it before it goes live, especially for health, finance, legal or other regulated topics. Stareo’s compliance checks are a safeguard, not legal advice.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use Stareo to:

• crawl, monitor or change a website you are not authorised to;
• publish content that is unlawful, defamatory, deceptive, or infringes someone else’s rights;
• manipulate search engines or AI assistants in ways that breach their published guidelines;
• probe, overload or interfere with Stareo or the third-party services it relies on;
• resell or share your access outside your organisation without our written agreement;
• reverse engineer the service or scrape data from it.

We may suspend accounts that break these rules, and we will tell you why.

7. Plans, fees and billing

• Prices are shown in US dollars on the pricing page and exclude any taxes we are required to add.
• Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until you cancel. Cancel any time in Settings; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. If a payment fails we will retry and email you; after 14 days of non-payment we may pause the account.
• If we change prices we will give at least 30 days’ notice by email before it affects you.
• Free trials convert to a paid plan only if you choose one.
• Fees are not refundable except where the law requires it, or where we have failed to provide the service for a sustained period through our own fault.

8. Third-party services and data

Stareo depends on services we do not control, including Google, AI model providers, SEO data providers and hosting providers. Their availability, accuracy and terms can change without notice, and features that depend on them may pause or change as a result. Our handling of data from these services is described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Intellectual property

We own Stareo: the software, the design, the audit rules, the scoring and the brand. You get a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it while you have an account. You own your website, your content and the data you bring. You give us permission to process that data to provide the service, and to use aggregated, de-identified data to improve Stareo.

10. Availability and changes to the service

We aim for Stareo to be available all the time, but it will not be. We may change, add or remove features. If we remove something you rely on and are paying for, we will give reasonable notice. If we shut Stareo down entirely we will give at least 60 days’ notice and a way to export your data.

11. Warranties and liability

Stareo is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties not stated here, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost rankings, lost traffic, or data loss. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Philippine Consumer Act, the Australian Consumer Law, or other laws that cannot be excluded. Where such a law applies and allows us to limit our liability, we limit it to re-supplying the service or refunding what you paid for it.

12. Indemnity

You agree to cover us for losses and reasonable legal costs arising from your breach of these terms, your content, or your use of Stareo on a website or account you were not authorised to use.

13. Ending the agreement

• You can close your account at any time in Settings or by emailing us.
• We can suspend or end your account if you breach these terms, fail to pay, or if we are required to by law. We will tell you unless the law prevents it.
• On closure we delete your data as set out in the Privacy Policy. Sections 5, 9, 11, 12 and 15 survive.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we will email account owners at least 14 days before they take effect. Using Stareo after that date means you accept the new terms.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, and you agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts. If you are a consumer in Australia, the UK or the EU, you keep any protections your local law gives you that cannot be excluded. If a term is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
